OeTTINGER Brewery has held its top spot amongst the three best employers in the Donau-Ries district, according to the ranking of Germany’s top employers for the common good compiled by WirtschaftsWoche magazine in consultation with analysis institute, ServiceValue. People were asked to give the top employers in their area in a total of 106 districts and 34 independent towns in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. In the survey, it was crucial that employers were only regarded valuable for a region if they were not only interested in the well-being of their employees but also cared for everyone living in the area.In the Donau-Ries district, OeTTINGER Brewery took third place behind the two social organizations, gku Donau-Ries clinics and nursing homes and assisted living organization, Lebenshilfe Donau-Ries.
Shareholder Pia Kollmar sees the fact that OeTTINGER holds a top spot yet again as proof of OeTTINGER Brewery’s holistic community involvement. A key component of this approach is its long-established personnel development program introduced in 2014. Pia says: “It is always exciting every quarter to see which of our employees are involved in voluntary work and the diverse projects in which they participate. The great thing is that we also learn a bit about our colleagues, how the money was used and what was achieved with it.” A total of EUR 2,500 is available per quarter and brewery location with which the company awards those involved in voluntary projects. The money serves to particularly benefit associations, projects and organizations at which OeTTINGER Brewery staff volunteer during their free time.
