Michael Griess (54) is to become the new National Sales Director for the brand business of OeTTINGER Brewery GmbH from March 01, 2020. Griess is an internationally experienced manager and was most recently employed as Commercial Director and Member of the Management Board at The Nielsen Company Germany, a market research firm, where he was responsible for managing all key accounts in the German drinks industry, among other roles. He has also previously been Director of Sales and Channel Marketing for the Carlsberg Group’s Germany-based business. As National Sales Director at OeTTINGER, Griess will act as the main contact for trade partners. Moreover, he will play a key role in shaping the company’s marketing and sales strategy.

Michael Griess is set to succeed the current National Sales Manager, Jörg Fritze (56), who at his own request will leave OeTTINGER Brewery at the end of March 2020 in order to pursue a new professional challenge. Fritze previously worked for OeTTINGER as national Key Account Manager for retail sales since 2009, before assuming overall leadership for domestic sales in 2015. Over the past eleven years, he has made an outstanding contribution to OeTTINGER Brewery and, together with his team, has overcome a series of challenges. Among other measures, Fritze’s key accomplishments from his time at OeTTINGER include the implementation of a new placement and marketing concept and the standardization of the company-wide sales force. Moreover, he helped launch numerous new products and oversaw the further development of the OeTTINGER brand range.
