Top quality remains a constant theme in our success story. This is reflected by our latest award: OeTTINGER Brewery Mönchengladbach was again awarded the federal prize for outstanding quality in food production. This is already the fourth federal prize for our brewery site in Mönchengladbach and the fifth federal prize for OeTTINGER Brewery overall.
The federal prize is awarded on an annual basis by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and has traditionally enjoyed the status of being the highest honor for top quality products in the German food industry. This year, 140 German breweries took part in the competition, which featured around 750 different types of beer. Twelve of these have recently been awarded the renowned federal prize. To win this award, the winners had to pass a series of tests and achieve the best overall results in the beer quality controls of the DLG (German Agricultural Society). In so doing, the product must comply with strict criteria, whereby the focus is on taste, effervescence, purity and quality. Freshness and taste stability during storage are also important aspects. Our products passed all DLG tests with flying colors, creating a solid basis to successfully take home the federal prize.
