Diversity is a hallmark of our brewery. This applies both to the range of products we offer and how our employees spend their free time. Indeed, the diversity of our employees’ leisure pursuits is really brought to light by the OeTTINGER personnel development program, which regularly supports these projects and initiatives.
At our headquarters in Oettingen, we have once again been able to support three different worthy causes with a donation of EUR 850 each.
Carina Riedel from HR will be offering her donation to the fundraising campaign “Hope for Jenny”. Since childhood, the 19-year-old Jenny, who lives in the same town as Carina, has been battling a cancer which conventional treatment has not been able to cure. The fundraising campaign was set up by relatives, friends and acquaintances in order to allow Jenny to travel to the USA for an innovative form of cellular therapy that could ultimately save her life.
Matthias Griesbauer is lending a helping hand to the Lehmingen voluntary fire service with his donation. The money will go toward buying new t-shirts and jackets. Matthias, who works in the metalwork department, actually submitted his application a few years ago: Finally, Lady Luck is on his side!
Meanwhile, Thomas Färber from the IT department is involved with the soccer club SC Eintracht Langlau. With his donation, the club is planning on buying new tracksuits and goal nets.
“It is wonderful to see that our employees are not only thoroughly committed to their jobs but also to causes outside of our brewery, and have a heart for helping others,” Managing Director Pia Kollmar said while presenting the employees with their checks. “It is our honor to offer support to projects specifically within the region through our personnel development program. There are so many great clubs and initiatives in and around Oettingen which are able to achieve great things even with small donations.”
