A fitting start to the New Year: For three employees at our brewery’s Oettingen headquarters, the New Year kicked off with a wonderful gift. All three were delighted to receive a donation from the OeTTINGER Brewery personnel development program for a project that is close to their hearts.
Uwe Stropek (Fleet department) received a sum of EUR 850 for the Oettingen voluntary fire service. He and his fellow firefighter Daniel Härtle arranged for the check to be handed over in spectacular fashion high up on the fire engine’s turntable ladder.
Meanwhile, Astrid Schröppel (Accounts Payable) is supporting the Nördlingen und Umgebung e.V. animal protection association. In this spirit, she brought along Biene the dog to receive her check too! The association intends to use the money from the personnel development program mainly for food and other necessary products for the residents at the animal shelter.
Standing in for Waltraud Kern (Advance Telesales), her colleague Christoph Sens received a check in the amount of EUR 850. The money will be put toward the restoration and maintenance of the Chapel of our Lady in Nittingen, which is part of the St. Sebastian parish in Oettingen.
The donation checks were awarded by our brewery boss Pia Kollmar: “The projects that have been chosen once again reflect the wide variety of ventures that our employees are involved in. We are always delighted to be able to have such a positive impact right on our doorstep with our donations, whether it be for people, animals, or valuable buildings.”
