Have you ever considered working as a mechatronics engineer at one of the coolest drinks manufacturers? We are expanding our range of apprenticeships in the area of maintenance, paving the way for the next generation of young talent to unlock their full potential. At our Oettingen site, we are now offering electronic technician apprenticeships for operating technology, while in Mönchengladbach, we have added two new trainee courses: Mechatronic engineer and metal technology specialist with a focus on assembly/machining technology.
“Our cutting-edge plants need to run efficiently and reliably – that’s why we require maintenance professionals that are trained to the highest level,” says Katharina Altenburger, personnel manager at OeTTINGER GETRÄNKE. “We train our own specialists so that they are able to learn from and support one another more effectively right from the word go. Of course, this also enables us to grow in prominence as an employer in Oettingen and Mönchengladbach,” she adds.
Key role in Industry 4.0
Participants in the electronics technician apprenticeship learn how to install electrical systems and switch boxes, in addition to being instructed in how to modify and develop existing systems. Apprentices learn skills such as how to handle digital control technology and network technology. They also carry out repair works on plants in the event of breakdowns. The apprenticeship lasts three and a half years.
Mechatronics engineers combine knowledge from the areas of mechanics, electronics, and IT, in order to develop, maintain, and repair complex systems. During their three-and-a-half-year apprenticeship at OeTTINGER GETRÄNKE, course participants will learn how to install larger production and filling systems. Another focus of the course is fault tracing and fixing, both for software and mechanical problems.
The two-year apprenticeship for metal technology specialists with a focus on assembly/machining technology involves in particular the processing and welding of metallic components. On this course, apprentices work with various machines and tools in order to create precise parts with a wide range of applications.
