Three young men and women have been awarded scholarships by the Günther and Ingrid Kollmar Foundation this year. They will each receive support for their further training at a value of 9,000 euros overall.

In no particular order, the trio of scholarship recipients for 2025 are as follows: Lena Marie Wiedemann from Maihingen is studying to become a tax expert. Dominik Stöckelhuber from Oettingen is currently preparing to take the state examination to qualify as a civil engineering technician, while Julian Seefried from Laub is in the process of completing a degree that will see him qualify as a specialist in the field of plastics engineering and fiber composite technology.

All three scholarship recipients impressed the foundation members both with their excellent academic performances in recent years as well as their personal involvement in the local community. This is the 12th cohort to be awarded scholarships from the Günther and Ingrid Kollmar Foundation since it was first established 13 years ago.

The successful scholarship recipients were announced on October 3 to tie in with German Unity Day during a joint lunch at Boteco La Dhany do Brasil, a Brazilian restaurant located in the historic old town of Oettingen.

About the Günther and Ingrid Kollmar Foundation

Founded in 2012, the mission of the Günther and Ingrid Kollmar Foundation is to empower young people with a passion for learning to further develop themselves in their respective spheres, take on social responsibility and drive change. The concept of the Günther and Ingrid Kollmar Foundation was borne from the idea that, upon completion of their training, the scholarship recipients would use the gifts at their disposal – knowledge, ideas, time, resolve, and vision – to help strengthen the regions around Oettingen and Wassertrüdingen. The first scholarships were awarded in 2013

The deadline for scholarship applications next year is July 31, 2026. For further information, please see: kollmar-foerderstiftung.de
