For the 14th consecutive year, we have been honored with the North Rhine-Westphalia State Award for Food Products. The award was accepted in Dusseldorf by Dr. Marco Potreck, Operations Manager at our Mönchengladbach site, and Sven Willlim, Deputy Production Manager. It was presented by Silke Gorißen, Minister for Agriculture and Consumer Protection in the state government of North Rhine Westphalia.
The Ministry has been awarding the North Rhine-Westphalia State Awards for Food Products on an annual basis since 2009. It recognizes outstanding sensory quality and high product quality in foodstuffs along with the special commitment of manufacturers in the areas of training and fair pay. Also included in the overall assessment are the results of food monitoring and the application of sustainability concepts.
Prior to the award ceremony, Minister Silke Gorißen emphasized the importance of this award: “This award is a token of appreciation from the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia to companies that produce outstanding food products in North Rhine-Westphalia and which also offer young people prospects and take responsibility for our environment.“ As well as contributing to the visibility of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) as a location for high quality, state-of-the-art and sustainable food production, the state award also highlights the importance of the NRW food industry.
As our Operations Manager, Dr. Marco Potreck, emphasized: “Our repeated success in the North Rhine-Westphalia State Award for Food Products is the result of the dedicated commitment and strong quality awareness of our entire team. We would like to express our gratitude to our employees for this.”
