The Historical Market is held in Oettingen from 6 to 8 May. The beer testers rated the naturally cloudy beer, brewed specially by the OeTTINGER Brewery for this major event, as “Absolutely top” at the beer-tasting. Particular care was taken in the production of the barley juice. Hops, malt, the finest ‘bottom-fermented’ yeast and the very best water are used in the recipe. The recipe itself is a secret. Naturally it is brewed in compliance with the 1516 Bavarian Purity Law. The wort is 12 percent. At the end of the brewing process, the beer remains unfiltered, the yeast and proteins remains in the beer, to give it its full-bodied taste and character. The naturally cloudy “OeTTINGER Naturtrüb” beer is served in stone tankard, solely at the Historical Market in Oettingen.

The “historical” beer appealed to testers (from left to right): Michaela Wurm-Schaffer with Fiona, Herbert Piechatschek (OeTTINGER Beer), Tobias Mohr, Christoph Schaffer with Sophia, Pia Kollmar (OeTTINGER Beer).
