The focus of the Günther und Ingrid Kollmar Förderstiftung Foundation’s activities is on people. The Foundation’s aim is to empower young people who are keen to benefit from the advantages of further training to develop their abilities within their respective spheres, to take on corporate responsibility and initiate change. The Kollmar Foundation places great value on ensuring that the recipients of its support share the ethos of the Foundation’s goals as part of the scholarship and beyond, helping in turn to spread the Foundation’s message in the wider world.
Awareness of the Foundation, which was established in 2012, and its work has grown over the years. As a result, this year, it has received a record number of applications and has identified 21 of these as being worthy of support. Today, a total of EUR 39,000 is to be disbursed to young people who are keen to benefit from the advantages of further training in the Foundation’s core region around the towns of Oettingen and Wassertrüdingen.
Pia Kollmar, Chair of the Kollmar Foundation, places great value on ensuring that the recipients of its support share the ethos of the Foundation’s goals as part of the scholarship and beyond, helping in turn to spread the Foundation’s message in the wider world. As many previous recipients feel deeply emotionally attached to “their foundation”, they feel indebted to the organization and see it as their personal duty to carry out their work in line with the Foundation’s ethos, and, in some cases, to maintain a personal involvement with the Foundation. For this reason, an alumni meeting for former recipients of the Kollmar Foundation scholarships is being planned for next year.
