For the 11th time, our brewery in Mönchengladbach has received the state award for food products! The prize was awarded at the start of this week by Silke Gorißen, the Minister for Agriculture and Consumer Protection for North Rhine-Westphalia.
At the award ceremony in Düsseldorf, the Minister said: “The state award serves as recognition of businesses in the food production sector that perform outstandingly well in various areas: With fair wages, as well as by taking on responsibility for the environment and for training young people in a promising sector. I would like to congratulate you on being one of the best in North Rhine-Westphalia.”
Our Site Manager and Technical Manager of the OeTTINGER Group, Jürgen Brunacker is delighted with the award: “Receiving the state award for food products for the 11th time here in Mönchengladbach makes us very proud. It is a testament to how we unwaveringly maintain our standards of quality. We are delighted that, as well as the quality of our products, our vocational training programs at the site also played a role in the decision to award us with the state prize. Especially, as for us apprenticeships and further training of young people are of huge importance. This is shown in the fact that many of the brewers and maltsters who we have trained since 2004 continue to, or have come back to work at our business.”
Recognition of high product quality and commitment
The state award for food products North Rhine-Westphalia is presented every year by the state Ministry of Agriculture. The award not only honors top-performing businesses in the DLG (German Agricultural Society) quality controls, which businesses were subject to this year, but also a commitment to sustainable production and job creation in North Rhine-Westphalia.
