Our OeTTINGER site in Mönchengladbach has once again been recognized by the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) for its top quality, fair wages, and high training quota after being awarded a 12th NRW state prize for foodstuffs!
Silke Gorißen, Ministerin für Landwirtschaft und Verbraucherschutz, überreichte Ende November 2023 in Düsseldorf die Auszeichnung an den Technischen Betriebsleiter René Rainer und Produktionsleiter Moritz Krech.
Silke Gorißen, NRW Minister for Agriculture and Consumer Protection, presented the award to Technical Site Manager René Rainer and Production Manager Moritz Krech at the end of November 2023.
The state prize is presented by the NRW Ministry of Agriculture on an annual basis. In particular, the prize recognizes impressive performances in the DLG quality controls as well as a commitment to sustainable production and creating apprenticeships in North Rhine-Westphalia. Before presenting the award, Silke Gorißen explained that the prize is awarded to businesses “who create products that offer above-average consumer enjoyment paired with the best taste quality”. However, she added that prize winners are also recognized for regularly training young people and for paying their employees fair wages. “Huge congratulations to OeTTINGER for being one of the best businesses in North Rhine-Westphalia,” she added.
After receiving the award, René Rainer commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be presented with this award for the 12th time. In addition to our four federal prizes and four awards for long-standing product quality, the NRW state prize for foodstuffs is fantastic recognition of the high quality of our products and of our commitment to offering young people great career prospects at our Mönchengladbach site. We also benefit from this, as many of our former apprentices continue to work for the company to this day.“
